We’re excited to share a major update that will make every Pyper Yachts charter even more seamless, elevated, and unforgettable. From now on, all charters will embark and disembark from Scrub Island Resort Marina in the British Virgin Islands.
This change is about far more than logistics — it’s about transforming the start and end of every journey into part of the experience itself. By basing our fleet at Scrub Island, we’re able to offer guests smoother transfers, easier travel options, and access to world-class resort amenities from the moment they arrive.
Why Scrub Island? A Better Start to Every Charter
Nestled just off Tortola, Scrub Island Resort Marina is perfectly positioned for effortless arrivals, departures, and onward travel throughout the BVI. It offers guests a refined, resort-style welcome that sets the tone for the days ahead — and makes saying goodbye a little sweeter.
Here’s why this new base makes all the difference:
Easy Access for Guests
Flying into Tortola (EIS): Guests can hop on the complimentary Scrub Island resort ferry from Trellis Bay, arriving directly at the marina where their yacht awaits.
Flying into St. Thomas (STT): We can arrange private water taxi transfers from Charlotte Amalie or Red Hook straight to Scrub Island. All customs and immigration formalities are taken care of on their behalf.
Pre- or Post-Charter Stays: Guests can extend their experience with a stay at Scrub Island Resort or transfer easily from other BVI locations (e.g., Road Town ↔ Scrub Island) via private water taxi.

Best Option: Fly into Tortola (EIS) and take the complimentary resort ferry — the easiest and most efficient choice.
Already Booked to STT? No problem. A private water taxi can take guests directly to Scrub Island, with customs and immigration handled by the operator.
Staying in the BVI? We can coordinate inter-island water taxis between Scrub Island and other marinas, such as Road Town or Nanny Cay.
While some guests may still prefer to embark from the USVI — and that remains possible — Scrub Island is now our standard base port. This offers a significantly elevated experience and helps avoid additional relocation fees.
